FamilienFest
Join us for Fort Wayne GermanFest's day of family and pet oriented entertainment.
FamilienFest fills Headwaters Park West with performances, games, interactive activities, creative play, education opportunities, and goods from local family-oriented vendors. The highlight of the day is Wienerdog Nationals dachshund races that attract fans from all over the Midwest!
At FamilienFest, programming and games are free to families! Food and drinks are also available for sale.

As a proud partner in bringing Fort Wayne GermanFest to life, the German Heritage Society invites you to join thousands of community members in celebrating the rich German roots of Fort Wayne. This four-day festival marks the start of summer with authentic food, beer, music, entertainment, and activities for all ages.
GermanFest is more than an event—it’s a reflection of the culture, traditions, and connections that continue to shape our community. Whether you're attending for the first time or returning each year, we welcome you to be part of the celebration.

Sips from our Sister Cities
Guests will journey through tasting stations inspired by Fort Wayne and its Sister Cities in Poland, Germany, Japan, and Myanmar. At each station, enjoy a cocktail or mocktail sample paired with appetizers while learning about the culture and connections that link our communities.
Each guest will receive a passport to guide their experience. Visit each country station to taste international cocktails or mocktails and appetizers inspired by that destination while learning about the culture and Sister City connection. Collect stamps along the way as you travel around the world.
The Botanical Conservatory will be hosting its butterfly exhibit during the event, and admission is included with your ticket. Sip and stay awhile!
